Chris Arias, a first-year student from Aurora, Colorado is described by some as “half-Golden Retriever, half-barnacle,” and by others as being like a capybara attracting small animals because of her ability to attract people. Her life philosophy stems from the enlightening 2016 Safe Auto commercial: “if you give a man a fish, you have one less fish.”

Kailey Blunk is a first-year majoring in communications and creative writing with a double minor in French and gender studies. She’s a very sarcastic and opinionated person who needs to learn how to write a better bio.

Jane Callahan is a rising Senior here at Coe College. She is double majoring in Creative Writing and Communication Studies. She is Coe Reviews Marketing Editor. She is involved in Greek Life, as AOII’s Vice President of Membership Recruitment, as well as the Student Activities Committee as Public Relations Chair.

Ariel Crego is currently completing degrees in both physics and creative writing at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, and will be graduating next year and evolving to be a technical writer.  When she’s not holed up in the physics lab or working on her manuscript, she enjoys taking her lizard Glaedr out for some sunshine.

Dana Denise Dela Fuente is a business administration and economics major in the class of 2020. During her free time, Dana likes to practice whistling.

Maggie Hagan is a freshman at Coe College and this is her first semester working on the magazine. She is currently secretary of Progressive Student Activists and enjoys hiking and cooking.

Isabel Huerta- I am double majoring in Social and Criminal Justice and Religious Studies. In my free time, I love to dance, draw, and sing. My strongest skills are my ability to provide kind and speedy customer service, attentive listening, and providing excellent communication to make my peers feel safe and welcomed. I enjoy providing insight to my teammates to enhance our projects. I look forward to attending Coe College and being a member of the Coe Review another year.

Eric Katz is a Senior psychology major. He likes to pass the time writing fiction and poetry. Quiet in nature and absent minded.

Alizé McClure is a senior at Coe College currently completing her degree in creative writing and English. These days she’s no longer worried about her head wear as much as she worries about the existential question a man once asked her in Wal-Mart: Are you alive?

Aubrey Montreal is a Coe College junior from Colorado, majoring English Literature and Art. Outside of studying, She enjoys reading and jamming out to classical rock.

Kristjan Nixon is a junior majoring in psychology and creative writing with minors in theatre and sleep deprivation. His interests include whimsy, staring at ceiling fans, and finding an elusive purpose.

Milo Schmitt is a Coe College senior set to graduate in May of 2021 with a double major in Political Science and Creative writing. He enjoys reading vastly different genres in his free time including fantasy novels and political bibliographies. If he’s not reading or writing, he might be found binge watching shows, playing video games, or being politically active.

Esmeralda Valenzuela is a freshman majoring in writing and hoping to pick up an additional major in history. She’s got a special interest in astronomy and is always happy to chat about anything related to science. She is a huge lover of soups and her number one guilty pleasure is reading epic poems.
